The TRISS study reported no significant difference in 90-day mortality, the use of life support, or the occurrence of ischaemic events, in patients with septic shock and anaemia randomised to transfusion at a haemoglobin threshold of 7 g/dl (lower) versus 9 g/dl (higher)...
